Chiropractic for Athletes: Improving Recovery and Performance
It came as no surprise to us when we began seeing a more steady flow of athletes here at our Frisco TX chiropractic office. It started just a few years ago and has done nothing but escalate over that period. For many chiropractors, working with athletes is no new concept. We've been doing it here in Frisco since first opening our doors in 2003. And along the way, we've seen just about every type of sports injury. But it wasn't until a few years ago, with the onset of therapies such as ARPwave, ATM2, the Proadjuster and others, when we began to marvel at some of the results being achieved.
The following represents merely a sampling of how chiropractors can help athletes at any level; whether it's reaching their full performance potential, or getting back in the game after an injury.
Enhance Natural Recovery Ability After Games or Training
When it comes to treating athletes, chiropractic care is far from limited to just spinal adjustments or other more well-known therapies. Today, there is an entirely new world of leading-edge technology available to help athletes maximize their performance, or recover more rapidly after suffering an injury. ARPwave Pain Elimination is remarkably effective, though others can help address target areas and inflammation, as well.
Significantly Speed Up Healing After Injuries
By scouring the body's nearly 3,000 unique biomarkers, a chiropractor can now quickly and accurately target, identify and restore damaged or non-thriving tissues at the cellular level. It's not masking pain, it's essentially reversing it. This is done non-invasively and pain-free, with substantial results frequently being reported in as few as one or two sessions. Other therapies include computer-assisted alignment for flawless accuracy, as well as cold stone and vibrational therapies to stimulate circulation and muscle tissues.
Restore and Strengthen Compromised Muscle Systems
In keeping with the above mention on muscle tissue activation, research continues to demonstrate the link between physical performance and compromised and/or damaged muscle fibers. This has fueled a surge in the development of safe, effective therapies that specifically target under- or non-performing metabolic and musculoskeletal tissues. Through simple, painless UV light or vibrational stimulation, muscle tissues that may have not fired in years or decades are again given new life.
